Hello, my name is Ryan King, and I study health and fitness management with a business minor here at Clayton State University. I'm from County Durham, which is a small town in the north of England. I actually found Clayton State through a program called scholarship connect, which helps athletes connect with coaches in the United States.

Atlanta is a great place for students. It's a very diverse city, there's a lot of things to do, lots of activities. The campus is extremely welcoming to international students. It's a very picturesque campus, and all the students and faculty are very helpful and friendly. Even from day one, I felt like this was home. Being from the UK, there's not too much of a transition period.

One major difference I would say was driving on the opposite side of the road. So it's a bit of a clash of cultures there. But all in all, the transition was very easy. The Center for Academic Success really helped me. It actually really helped boost my GPA. It helped in the classroom and with homework, because of all the helpful assistance I got.

I would 100 percent recommend to any international students to try and come over to the United States. Clayton State, in particular, would be a great place. The United States has given me some fantastic opportunities, which I would recommend to anyone from any country.
